I have a 3/4 inch supply line to my hot water tank I have a 1/2 inch leaving my hot water tank and going to my kitchen sink 1st then from there half inch line continues down to my master bedroom and then to the middle bathroom

When I turn the bathtub on in the hallway bathroom the sync loses pressure significant pressure.

This is not cold water this only happens with the hot water.

If you need a rough plumbing schematic I can try one of and posted I'd like to be able to fix this myself over the weekend

Is this a new complaint or has the system always been like this?

1) Old water heater? Collected sediment can reduce output/efficiency.
2) Reducing pipe size to 1/2" reduces possible volume.
3) Recirculating pumps are used a lot if 1&2 can't sort it out.

Bring 3/4 out from the water tank, Run a new 3/4" supply line all the way down, then tee off and use a reducer after each branch of the tee making sure the main supply line stays 3/4" all the way and only reduce on the branch side of the tee to faucets.

Your cold line is probably all branched off the main 3/4" line and your hot was reduced which is more then likely the issue.

I'm not a professional just a DIY just putting it out there.

At this point, you have a sink and a bathroom group on one 1/2” line. You could put in 3/4” as mentioned above. However, since you essentially only have 2 outlets, I would take the kitchen sink off the existing line and leave it for only the tub/bathroom. Then run a new 1/2” line to the sink. It will be cheaper than the equivalent 3/4” line and you won’t have to wait as long for hot water as you would with a 3/4” line. You only need 1/2” to the bathroom because usually only one outlet is used at a time.

I have a new Navient 240a 3/4 supply. 3/4 leaves hot water heater. Then 10ft away it changes to all 1/2 for everything.

Kitchen sink is first in line, then master bathroom and end of line hall bathroom.
The master bath is just capped off not in use during remodel.

Let's see if this works.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP.

When are we going to be able to use our cell to post pics!!!
