If your plumber was any kind of plumber at all, he would have installed an American Standard, Champion toilet. The American Standard toilet has a large 4" flush valve, with a larger that average, 2 3/8" trap. The combination of more water per flush and the larger trap, (trap is the opening at the bottom of the toilet) give you one of the best toilets on the market. The 35 second refill time is about average and has NOTHING to do with the quality of flush.

This is a Gerber Dual flush toilet. I doesn’t have the handle on the tank. Is this your toilet?

I was wondering if these two toilets are on the second floor or on the first floor of your home. The reason I ask, because second floor toilets may have a short turn elbow on the toilet flange. The short turn elbow is used because there is limited room between the second floor, floor and the first floor ceiling. The short turn elbows cause problems when solids are flushed.

No, the handle is on the side, upper left on the tank.

the dual flush toilets I have seen, have the flush handle or button on the lid.
