I had radiant heat installed and removed the baseboard heaters. I now have small 3/4" holes in floor where the copper radiator pipes came up. What's the best way to plug these up? after they are plugged, I would like to then patch them with pad and carpet in the living room and linoleum elsewhere to minimize the eyesore effect. I'm a total noob when it comes to home improvement.

Find some dowels that fit tight. Cut them slightly longer than you need. Put wood glue on them and drive them in the holes. After the glue dries, use a flexible hand saw and trim them flush.
