I pulled up some vinyl in my kitchen yesterday, in front of a glass sliding door, and low and behold I found a moisture issue. The particleboard and subfloor are soaked in about a 2' by 2' square. Have to figure out something to do with that.
Anyway, along the edge of the wood, next to the door, I found a series of these brown dimples in the particleboard which look like some kind of insect nest. Inside the nest there are extremely tiny (like 1mm) mite-looking bugs, some are red and some are creamy white. They seem too small to be termites? Any idea what these are? Never seen them before...
