I hope someone can help me! Moved into an old 1830s house with oil fired heating. Worked fine but now notice in the roof space and bedroom below there is a sticky tar residue on the walls. The boiler is in the washroom downstairs and these marks are where the chimney walls house the liner for the boiler. I want to move the boiler into another room, do I have to reline the chimney or is there another way I can house the flue outside through the walls. In other words do I have to use the chimney for the flue or is there another way?? I hope this makes sense:huh:
Any advice would be appreciated
