why do you need to know? worried about lead content? lol
the paper that holds 2 sheets together had all the info you needed, but i guess that won't help. is that ALL the sheets have printed on them?

chinese drywall in SW Florida is causing major health problems and killing all sales from going forward.

We have a buyer for our home and if we have chinese drywall the deal is dead and we will join the class action lawsuit

it seems that particular drywall emits a foul sulphur odor. shouldn't be TOO hard to tell if it is or isn't.

the inspectors are charging homeowners to come out and take the numbers off the drywall. since I know the numbers I hope to determine the origin of our drywall

seems to me they'd let you just call in the #s rather than charge you to come......
if it DOESN'T have "Knauf Plasterboard (Tianjin) Co." printed on the back and it doesn't stink, odds are good in your favor.

I like the "stand-up" way you came back and admitted that after badmouthing KB, they had actually spent the extra buck and did you right. :censored: :thumbdown:

Speaks volumes.

all he said was they used the "cheapest things" in the house.

it speaks volumes that you just side with some builder over the concerned homeowner. :censored::furious::no::furious:

Perhaps you missed it. But he said "they are KB home, they used the cheapest for all things in the home".

First of all, this guy didn't even know what drywall was used... yet he can state with absolute certainty that "all the things in the home were the cheapest". Quite an all-encompassing and misleading statement when he turned out to be wrong on one of the largest expenses the contractor had.

And, secondly, KB is not just "some builder". They began business many, many years ago, are in over a dozen states, are a Fortune 500 company, and as recently as 2007 were awarded one of the most prestigious awards for builders in the USA.

Yes, I do believe it speaks volumes that I refuse to jump on someone else's bandwagon.
