So I am discharging my sump on the lawn currently. I will like to discharge into a pipe and drain it to the front of the yard. I am also hoping that whatever pipe I lay will also be able to capture some settling water on the lawn.
So what type of pipe should I be using? Corrugated, Solid, holey ones (not sure what they are called).

Hi,

Don't know if this will help... My problem is similar in nature, just slightly different. I use to get water in my basement from rain due to rain soaking into the ground and coming through the fieldstone walls.

I installed 5ft solid pipe with a 90 degree elbow under my downspouts. The pipe is underground and slightly pitched connected to a basin installed at the end of the pipe.

Any excess is collected through the grate of the basin. The bottom of the basin has several holes lo let the water leech back into the ground (6 ft from the origin).

Hope this helps.
Good Luck
