I made a small green screen from 2x3 boards. It folds in the middle and is 42" wide and 68" high. So each side is 21"x68" and then attached in the middle by hinges.

It works nice this way, but I want to use it for wider things. I want to be able to turn it on the side to make it 68" wide and 42" high. I want to keep the ability to fold it for storage and ease of moving it. Made little "feet" for it that work well so once in place it stays and doesn't tip or move.

I am trying to avoid the option of directly holding it together with lag bolts, if possible.

The only thing I can think of is drilling holes and sticking a u-bolt in each side when I need it for the longer width.

Would using u-bolts work? Am I missing any other possible options?
