Pine Fence

I am putting up a new 6ft pressure treated pine privace fence around my property. The fence company advised me to seal the fence after installation. When I went to Lowes the other day to get a recommended sealant, the guy told me since the wood was pressure treated, i would not need to seal it??!! What's the story? Do i need to seal a pressure treated pine fence or no? Any advice is appreciated.

Don't know much about wood fences, but my advice is to not rely on the salespeople at Lowe's.

This is not to knock Lowe's, I shop there all the time, but I don't rely on them for much more information than directing me to the correct Aisle. Some may know what they are talking about but few are experts.

Yes, you do need to seal the fence. The guys at Lowe's and Home Depot are idiots.
