HELP PLEASE,
I have a 20+ yr. old Heat Controller furnace. Model # GRD100-D4. The pilot lights as it is supposed to, the inducer motor kicks on, after that it doesn't start clicking(igniter) as supposed to. The pilot stays lit, the inducer motor keeps running, until I shut it down. But nothing else happens. It worked fine until 2 days ago. You could always hear a few small clicks and the pilot would light, about the same time the inducer motor would start, then 20-30sec. later the igniter would start clicking, and the burner would ignite, and the blower would start, the inducer would shut down and all would be fine. Can someone help me? I can't afford to randomly replace parts. So I need help. THANKS ANYBODY, Matt

How exactly do I check the gas valve. I have a digital meter, just don't know how.

There are two wires connected to the solenoid gas valve. You need to measure the voltage coming from the controller. Then you need to do a continuity test on the solenoid.

I'm sending a pic. of the gas valve. 7 wires connected to it2 come from a xformer, and a relay. other 5 are all yellow, and numbered. I'm a robotics engineer, and am lost with this. But it can't be that difficult

I think are these 2 orange wires. Check for 24v

Checked the orange wires going to the gas valve. 0 volts. but there is 24 on the X-former. 1 wire goes from the x-former directly to the gas valve. the other orange one goes to what looks like a high voltage capacitive discharge box (alot like a coil on a car) then a yellow wire comes from the other side, and goes to 1 of 3 terminals on the thermocouple. It also goes to a terminal on the gas valve(jumpers on to the thermocouple.
THANKS FOR HELPING ME OUT. The 2 yellow wires on the left side of the valve(1 goes to the HV discharge box, & the other one goes to 1 terminal of the thermocouple. The 3 yellow wires hanging down on the 2nd. pic. go to the thermocouple. I've unbolted it from the side of the furnace shell.
