The pilot flame on our wall furnace is too big. Should I replace the entire pilot light? Or can the pilot flame be adjusted?

Also are pilot light assemblies standard, if I have to buy one? Or will I have to bring the pilot assembly in to get a replacement?

Best I remember Some pilot lite flames are adjustable . Look closely at your gas valve .

Is the flame of the main burner too big , also ? If so , perhaps the gas pressire is a little high .

Post the model and brand of the heater . Same for the gas valve . Google search for both . Maybe you can find a pdf file on both .

why do you think it's too big? picture?

i'm thinking the pressure is too high or the orifice is wrong or damaged from cleaning.

the gas valve may be adjustable. would want to adjust only the pilot pressure, not gas pressure.
