I am hoping that someone out there has pics of designer shower inserts (not the usual white plastic look). I will be remodeling my parents' bathroom this summer and they are fixated on having an insert installed, and will not consider tile...so be it, it's not my bathroom.

I know that these faux stone/tile inserts exist, but looking at stock photos online are sketchy at best, and there is nothing in stock at my big box stores.

Sounds like your parents prefer function over form. not a bad thing really.
Look into cultured marble it is as good as a three piece insert as far as water penetration but usually can look much better without the cost of real stone or tile.

everyone likes to bash tub/shower inserts but i can tell you from all the remodel i have done that they are the best a keeping water where it belongs.

Go to http://www.houzz.com/. They have literally ten million photos of everything related to house design and decor. There are so many photos you need to be very specific when you search, or else you'll drown in related photos.

Thanks for the responses.

My reasoning for wanting to see personal pics is that the stock photos rarely show, in good detail, the fit and finish of the inserts. I want to know if there are faux grout lines, and such, and it's hard to tell in manufacturer pics.

They pretty much will look like what they are, low cost substitutes for a tiled shower.
