Weed killer and crab grass preventer always tell you to keep away from seeds because real grass seeds won't grow with this stuff on them.

What about insect killer, does that affect seeds at all? Can I use this stuff on say, week-old seeds that haven't started sprouting yet?

Sometimes that information is on the bag in fine print and other times in really fine print. Consider checking there.
That's an old picture, I don't have a bag currently. And unfortunately it seems like with pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers, they like to put information on the bag that they don't put anywhere else. I'm trying to determine now if I should put it down or not, because I don't want to go to a store if I don't have to right now.

It won't hurt plants; it's an animal poison, including bees and fish. So you don't want to get it into a pond, or onto flowers that bees visit, and that includes "weeds." (And, keep it off you and other people, but you already know that. Just another public service. :vs_cool: )

What kind of insect problem do you have or are trying to prevent?
