Perfect stain mix for dark chocolate brown floor

We have just installed a brand new rift sawn white oak floor in our home and would like to achieve a deep dark chocolate finish. Can someone share that perfect mix of minwax stains (or other manufacturer) to get this very dark brown result on white oak? I have been told to try 50/50 Jacobean-Ebony, also 50/25/25 Jacobean-Red Mahog-Ebony. Are two coats of stain necessary? Also, should we use an oil based poly? Samples I have seen give the floor an amber tone.

Fully apprec!

This is a personal design choice, so no one can give you the right mix. And stains differ in how they look depending on the wood. Try some mixtures on a scrap piece of the flooring until you find thind the right color. Be sure to appy the final finish also, since most stains change color with the final finish(poly, etc)
