The kids let the dog into their room. Close the door. He doesn't need to pee and pooh according to them. Then he does. Now my ex-wife says I need to pitch in to remodel their rooms. The floor is the big issue. Arguments abound. I get blasted for spending money on my construction projects and not wanting to pitch in for the kids rooms. I'm balking because it makes no sense to install a good floor given the current situation. Anybody who says a dog can be trained isn't ready to write me a check to cover my losses if they're wrong. It's a no-win situation. So I searched for options.

I call this company up and it turns out they're about as nuts as my ex-wife and kids. You have to let them install the floor for you.

Is there any other pee and pooh resistant flooring options?

Do what I did. Next time the dog does it grab the kid and rub there nose in it.
Bet they will take the dog for a walk next time.
Sheet linolium is about the only way to water proof it.

Apparently it's the adults with the issues. Get a dog kennel and be done with it.

Sorry Jack....but I don't think your going to find much sympathy here. The fact that she is an x-wife is clue #1...the fact that she expects you to pay for it is clue #2......posting it all here....clues #3, 4, 5 & 6.

As for advice....kick both the dog and kids outside until they learn what needs to be done....you will be amazed at how quickly they figure it out.

I forgot to mention, I have a rent controlled room for $300/month in the house. Going rate last I checked in my area for room with separate entrance and bathroom is $1000/month. So... unless any of you geniuses wants to cut me a big fat check to cut my losses and pay the difference it's back to floors that resist pee and pooh.

What a f'd up deal! You live with your ex wife, kids and their dog?

Beat the kids, get rid of the dog. Problem solved.

You could epoxy coat the floor. You could cover it with marine vinyl. About anything else is going to absorb the mess and smell. Not to mention when the dog does the same thing on the kids bed and/or clothes piled in the floor.

Seriously, this is more of an adult not controlling a child issue than anything else.

Dogs are going to have accidents, throw up from time to time, etc. Kids too.

I'm putting vinyl plank down in my whole house. I put down a 4x4' section just test it out and the dog was kind enough to drop a test load. Cleaned right up damp paper towel.

I'm using allure ultra from HD. Still in the painting and prep phase, but the sample patch has been good so far.

I have a disabled son that has pretty much the same issue and I used Allure Ultra vinyl plank flooring. I did, however, get very good at cleaning such messes from carpet (Capture, warm water, scrub brush...followed by Frebreeze).

I'm with the OP. I'm going with solid hickory throughout the house, except where tile makes more sense (bathrooms, kitchen, entry foyers, utility room). But that would be silly to do in my son's room.
