I have a Payne 376C Furnace the I just replaced the controller board with a new ICM281. When all is connected up properly the self test works properly with all actions being taken in their proper order. First the Inducer turns on the the HSI starts glowing then the blower turns on at low speed then jumps to high speed. Based upon what I can tell this means all of the major components are working properly, is this correct?

When all the Thermostat control wires are hooked up and the thermostat is set to the heating position and the temperature is set well above the ambient temperature the controller goes to work it turns on the inducer which runs for several seconds then the Indicator LED on the controller displays a code of 31(Pressure, Draft Safeguard, Auxiliary - Limit or Blocked Vent Shutoff )

What should I check next?

:thumbup:Thanks, SUCCESS. I found an open sensor on the blower assembly. When the 2 wires that attach to the sensor are shorted together the heater works.
Is this a temperature sensor?
Are they designed for different temperatures or is there just a standard?

Thanks again. I just kept checking sensors until I found one that was open.

Do not short the sensor wires. This is a safety sensor.
