Let me start by saying that I have zero experience with concrete, but I'm up for learning. The problem: There are several cracks and areas of missing concrete in the upper part of my driveway (the lower part is asphalt). At the very least I want to fill them to prevent water from pooling and giving mosquitoes a place to breed. That said, I'd also like it to look decent and be a good temporary measure until this all gets redone down the road. So what products and application tips would you folks recommend?

you can patch or repair - patches are hack work & temporary while repairs are permanent,,, no repair will cosmetically match the existing however,,, eg, 1 can seal or fill a concrete crack but 1 can never make it disappear
outline your repair by diamond sawcutting 1" deep using a 4" grinder & diamond blade,,, chip out the spall & clean well,,, dampen the conc to a 'surface saturated dry condition' (wet but no standing water - won't accept more water)
your problem's a bit more complicated since 1 is a spall & the other's a random crack's that appears to be acting as a joint & subsequently spalled.
depth of repair will determine size of aggregate,,, make the repair 2" deep & you can use redi-mix conc in a bag [60#]

Ayuh,...... While this is, No Doubt the right way to do it,.....

For a down, 'n dirty patch job,..... that will last years,......

I'd hose blast the bad areas, after diggin' out the organic material(weed roots),.....
Get the spallded areas brush wet, 'n fill it all in with bagged hyd. grout, mixed to a heavy paste consistency,....
Troweled finish,....
