Anybody used paste wax on engineered hardwood floors to seal against moisture? I have a dog and a cat who occasionally leave small puddles, usually in the form of puke. If it were up to me, they would be gone but my vote doesn't count so any help along this line would be appreciated.

Nope. But unless the manufacturer of the surface coating warns against it? Why not pick up a can of carnuba bowling alley wax and try it on an inconspicuous place?

Not sure organic waxes are your best defense against urine accidents though. Polymers will probably come closer to sealing things.

Sure fun to toss toys and watch pets try to grip a nicely waxed and polished floor though.

wax would make it shiny, not dull. It would also make the floor ridiculously slippery. Paste wax doesnt have much of any affect on moisture exchange on horizontal surfaces. The wax would also be removed everytime you wash the floor. If not it will evaporate over time.
