Good evening everyone,

I am trying to make a partition using the see through Acrylic sheet or the Sneeze guard.

The architect of our place forgot to put the separating wall between the sink and the small office. Due to that our office table with the computer and paperwork will be right next to the sink. We are worried about the water drops spinkling on the table and wet the important papers.

I was thinking of putting a transparent screen to prevent that from happening but I am not sure of how to do that. I am attaching the picture for better description. Any idea on how to put the acrylic sheet to the base board and also attaching it to the dry wall.

We prefer the see through so that the security cameras have the view of the computer.

Thanks

If you just want a sidesplash for the sink like Neal's 'A', they do sell NSF s.s. removable guards for that. However, I think most fit only hand sinks, you'd have to search to see if one is made for prep/basin sinks.

Option C - use hardware for urinal screens. Check with your health dept if they will want the acrylic to be abrasion resistant, don't want to waste $500. Also inspectors might want a good 6"-12" between the sink and partition, verify. Also also verify if the wall sheathing is plywood behind the FRP, then mounting will be golden. If you go with a large size 1/2" thick and the weight is too much, they have hardware to hang from ceiling (sneeze guard) or adjustable leg at bottom. Don't go below the base, still need to mop the floor.

Thanks Nealtw and 3onthetree for your recommendation. I am looking for option A or C. I like the option A if I find one that can be slide on. I have a lot hanging on the dry wall in that section and will prefer not to hang anything more if I can.

Just screw it to the side of the sink with SS screws, caulk between them.
