Did you try the search feature this question has been answered many many times already and you may find the info you need. If not we will be awaiting your pics.

If you can provide them pics of the attic space directly above the wall and pics of the crawl space or basement directly beneath the wall will be extremely valuable in determining the issue.

I have read the threads here and from my understanding its not a bearing wall but just wanna make sure its not..hubby wants to open it and treat it like a bearing wall by supporting the ceilings with studs but I think is unnecessary ... I just to be on the safe side...

Your project seems like a great opportunity to find out how solid your marriage is. You seem to be certain the wall is not load bearing, husband is not so sure. I don't understand what you mean by "opening the wall up" but supporting it with studs, presumably the wall already has studs in it. In any case, since you have read the dozens, perhaps hundreds of threads on bearing walls in this forum, you already know that the ONLY way to determine if a wall is load bearing is to examine the framing above the wall to determine if there are any loads bearing on the wall. In your case, this looks like it will require crawling into the space above, temporarily relocating insulation, and examining the framing to see what, if anything, is supported by the wall. Sounds like a good job for your husband.

If it is a non-bearing partition wall there it no need to support the ceiling. Now that you have seen in the attic an crawl space and it appears that it is a non-bearing partition wall. The next confirmation is when you pull the drywall down you will be able to see the wood framed headers above the door and window and whether they are bearing or not.
