Hi

I have a sprinkler head that is broken off from the base under the ground. It is a threaded part. Is this part on the black supply pipe threaded on? I tried to take it off by hand but looks like I’ll need a wrench for leverage. I don’t want to break the black supply pipe while doing this. How do I take this off?

Thanks.

Yup. I ended up doing that. Used two long wrench... one wrench holding the black pipe from bending. It was stuck real tight. The bushing was bit easier to find. Hopefully I’m good with the sprinkler system for this summer

Thanks.

Difficult to see in those photos, but looks like a reducing bushing.
My guess is the sprinkler head is 3/4 NPT female and the fitting on the funny-pipe (thats what they call it) is 1/2 NPT male.

A wrench will unscrew it. But why bother. If you buy the exact same sprinkler head, it would have the same size fitting.
