I live in Georgia and the recent heavy rains caused water to come in and run down to my parquet flooring. The parquet flooring began popping up and looking like waves. So, this gave me an excuse to remove it and lay down tile. My problem is that when the parquet was laid down, they used alot of glue, and I do not have the time to scrape it all up. Nor, do I believe that I would even be able to due so if I had the time. Im wondering if replacing the sub-floor would be a good option. I have never done it before. Any suggestions or ideas? It's a small area, and there are no nails or screws holding the sub-floor down.

You don't have the time to do the job correctly? Baloney!:) If it's a small area how tough can it be to scrape up a little glue? Short cuts now will only cost you more money down the road.:) Hit the Bacardi and go to work!:)

You ever tried removing parquet glue that been there for 25 years yea...pain in tha a--. I spent an hour scraping and only got a 5in area clean. Screw that. The parquet also pulled up sections of wood with it.
and yes I hit the bacardi hard last night, too hard, not feeling the hangover YET.

Many many many times, more times than you have years.:) Never had a problem! Some tasks just require some effort.

No real surprise there!:)

One good thing about over-indulging with rum is you never have a problem finding the floor.:) Buck up pal...have another drink and GIT-R-DONE!:)
