Hey all. I just redid the interior trim of a few windows in our house. We replaced the stool and apron in the process with select grade pine. The plan is to paint everything a nice white here soon, but I realized we have some unanswered questions.. soo
1] Being the window stool ['sill'], do we need to polyurethane or something after or before painting the stool because of water that may hit the stool when it rains [My wife is admittedly bad at closing windows when it rains].

2] Is there a particular type of sheen that would be recommended?

3] Do we need to use exterior/UV Protection paint because of the amount of light hitting the stool?

That's it! Thanks all for the advice

Any QUALITY semi gloss paint will do(after priming, preferably with an oil based primer) no need for polyurethane
