So far good prep work. Sometimes we sand the soffits if there are raised areas of oxidation that don't come off with an initial cleaning. Spraying should not close up the vent holes........sometimes if you brush and roll, you can close off the holes.
Painting aluminum soffit
My aluminum soffit is 27 years old and has many oxidation spots.
I have wiped the entire house soffits with water and scrubby pads which took off cobwebs and oxidation buildup but once dried out, they still look like oxidation spots. Plan to prime and paint with sprayer. Is there anything else that should be done to the soffits? Will the sprayed paint seal off the ventilation holes?
