Ok guys....I had a stroke about 7 years ago and my legs are not well enough to climb a ladder. I need to paint my fascia on a new home I just built. It is bare wood (non pressure treated) and I was thinking about an extension pole. From my chest to the fascia is about 14ft. Any ideas? The wood has been up for about 6 months and I guess it's time

It's doable. There are several problems though. An extension pole that long is unwieldy and hard to control. Also, being so far away from the work, you will miss spots. I've done quite a few projects with extension poles over the years and those are some of the problems I've run into.

I am in the same boat when it comes to leg and back issues. I would hire a local college student or high school student looking for some extra cash. I would suggest using a ladder with the extension pole set for maybe 4'. Otherwise I would call Sun Belt or another local place that rents high lifts and go that route.

I see know way an extention pole would be of any use for that job.
You'd end up with paint on the drip edge, shingles, and miss a whole lot of spots.
Wrapping with the coil stock would be a good long term way to solve the issue forever.
Any buildings I've ever built we used primed pine or if it was bare wood we primed and painted one coat on all sides before even installing it, then filled any nail holes and painted the second coat after it was installed.
That way the wood is protected on all sides to help prevent against rot.
