I am planning on painting my house that I recently moved into, right now it is a god awful dark brown with a light beige bordering light pink trim. My roof is a brown roof but appears to have a red tint to it, which I think would narrow down what type of color I could go with.

I have heard of some beige/khaki colors, but part of me just wants to get away from the brown theme altogether. Also heard victorian yellow could be good as well with a brown/reddish roof. Any suggestions?

If you are not a professional decorator I've found a good way to find matching colors is to take the first color to a home center and look through their three or four-color chips until you find some with the first color, and then you will get suggestions for matching colors.

Go to Sherwinwilliams.com or any paint mgr for that matter and use their color visualizer tool. Some even let you upload a photo of your home and then you can play around with all the colors you want till you find something you like.
