I have a York 3 ton with gas furnace package unit that generally has been fairly unreliable. Am thinking about just changing it out for one that has a 2 stage burner and maybe variable speed blower. Does anybody know of a site that rates package units by any chance. Have thought about Goodman since they seem to be popular around here then also American Standard and Armstrong. Any recs on what I should get and what isn't really a needed feature?

Most furnaces today are well made. I would read as much as possible about each unit you are looking at, customer reviews etc. But keep in mind that the quality of the installation is as important as the quality of the product. Pricing, warranty and company reputation (mfg. and installer) are my criteria in choosing a major item, like a furnace.
