I have an 06 sentra with 33.8k miles on it.Has a p0128 check engine light.The h/c gauge has never been above halfway.Came on when temps started getting below freezing at night, and not hitting 50 until noon. Have been told the oem sensors on these model of sentras are sensitive.

Have been told to get a freeze frame, and reset the check engine line and only worry if it comes back on.However, at the same time I need to get a coolant flush either way.

What order should I do things? As I don't want this to become a more expensive repair from waiting.However, don't want to spend money if I don't have to.

P0128= Thermostat function. Change it. And get a good one. Stant brand is what I use.:vs_coffee:

Thermostat or sensor? as everything is still oem

How warm or cold was it running? Often times the sensor is on the housing for the T-Stat.

Might as well replace both if that is the case.

Get a Thermostat that fails in the open mode as well.
