overhead service support bracket

Hi, I have an overhead service to the side of my house and then PVC conduit down to the meter. I have a bracket that has a lag bolt that screws into the house(not sure the proper name for it) that the metal support wire from the pole attaches to. We had some pretty high winds and this support pulled out of the house, assuming it was just screwed into plywood sheeting. I called the power company and they said this is my responsibility to fix. How would I go about fixing this as far as putting in a new bracket and hooking the support wire up to the new bracket? Thanks

Maybe she was confused between the anchor and something on the service cable. She might have thought that one of the clamps for your SE was broken, and that would be your responsibility.

Or more likely, she is just another dumb broad who doesn't have a clue about anything other than answering the phone. What else could you possibly expect from the receptionist
