Hello to all

I've enclosed 2 pics of our outdoor bottom threshold where the metal footplate hits the concrete.

As you can see, there's a lot of exposed concrete and I was told the builder should have provided a transition piece under the metal door strip to the top part of the concrete, then 90'ed down and over the concrete corner. Does anyone have a product and recommendation on what I can install here to properly trim out this area?

Thank you very much,
tstex

If this is in a basement, it is done correctly, although it would have been better to have a better, lower grading done to keep water from the threshold concrete. As long as the threshold is sealed completely and fastened well, you should have no problems with it. After all, putting wood there would cause decay problems since it would be in constant contact with moisture. Concrete is impervious to it.

Ideally the door should have been installed so the threshold overhung the slab by a little over 3/4" then a piece of 1 X 6 vinyl lumber slipped up into the gap made into the aluminum to seal out the water, support the threshold and cover up that concrete.
I've seen where people have tried to use coil stock to cover it up and that never works out for long, it does noting to keep the water out and it just gets dented and the finish gets rubbed off over time.

Thank you chandler & Joe...

This door goes to the outside back patio and that's tumbled travertine on the f
Ground / floor. Just looking for a nicer trim out and reduce the concrete exposure.

If you need a pic further back, pls let me know?

Thanks again
