Hello,

I noticed last night while my A/C was running that the outside unit fan was not running at all. The unit was very hot to include the exterior casing. I turned off the A/C and pulled the outside fuse to the outside unit. I've paid for a spring checkup that I've not called on as yet and am wondering what situation I may be up against, that the technician should be looking for?

Regards, Tom

thanks yuri...I'm remodeling the house and had some of the rooms shut off due to non-use by plugging the air ducts with towels and am wondering if this might have caused the problem. Not enough sufficient air flow getting through?

That didn't cause the outdoor fan to stop working.

But can do damage to the compressor, which will be far more expensive to fix.
