I'm having difficulty in locating any outdoor motion sensing exterior flood lights. Looking for soffit / eave type for a horizontal installation.

Issue I'm having is that the sensor once in the horizontal position has limited up down movement thus a reduction of range. Cheers.

The "issue" that you seem to be having is that you may be trying to use a combination "Lighting Unit and Passive Infrared detector (PIR)" in a configuration which was not intended by the manufacturer.

In any case, these combined units may not be a good idea, since if one part fails both usually need to be replaced.

A better idea may be to obtain a suitable "luminaire", plus a separate PIR and wire the PIR to control the luminaire.

This may cost more, initially.
However, if/when one unit fails, it can be replaced at less cost than that of replacing a combined device.

Also, the PIRs used in these combined units are often the cheapest available and separate PIRs of better quality can usually be obtained.
You may need to consult a qualified electrician in your area to obtain advice on this matter.
