I have post lights and outlets outside that come on when the switch in the garage is flipped. Replaced with new post lights outside. When the switch is flipped the post lights come on but now the outlets do not work. Tried to reset GFI button but stays red. Outlets worked fine 1 hour before I changed out the post lights.??? Looking for ground on post lights touching hot or neutral?? Would the post lights work if this was the case? Not sure what to look for. I did replace old GFI with new GFI outlet- same result- will not reset. There is power to black wire of the outlet, just will not reset. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

New GFI outlet. Used top side with no tape-the line side- with nothing connected to load side- tape still on. Black wire on brass colored and white wire on silver colored and ground on ground screw. I think the post lights are in line before the outlets with first outlet feeding off last post light. ( switch in garage- out to lights 1 2 3 4 5- then 2 outlets- line ends at second outlet) Thinking there is something with the post lights as everything worked fine before changing them. Would a ground wire touching hot or neutral make outlets fault but allow post lights to work? wires not twisted tight let lights work but fault the GFI? Checking to make sure all connections are tight
