Do all outdoor outlets need to be a GFCI recepacle, or can the first outlet be GFCI which then protects the rest like we can do for counter plugs? My Canadian code back doesn't explain it exactly

Also what type of device box is required for a flush mount outdoor plug, currently just have tyvek on the outside can i install a metal device box or do i need a waterproof one?

If it's going to be brick regular box is fine. Set out to be flush or just a hair shy of the outside of the brick. Just use a waterproof cover.
For siding I've seen people do the same thing. But they make a special box for siding. The last house I did, the guy got it from the place he got the siding. http://www.intermatic.com/~/media/files/intermatic/catalog/pages/016.ashx or http://www.accentbuildingproducts.com/cgi-bin/accent/shutters/mount.html They make them like this for brick too. I like how the in use cover doesn't stick way out on these. You can do a google search for siding mounting blocks.

And yes you can daisy chain your gfci's, like in the kitchen. All outside recepts need to be protected.
