I took apart a broken motion detector on a dual flood light aimed in my backyard to find 4 wires...a black, white, blue and gray. The new motion detector has a black, white and a red. Any ideas and or explanations?

What are the old wires connected to?

they come out from the base of the floodlights attached to the eaves of the house...where i took off the old motion detector.
