I was plugging in Christmas lights into outlet outside, I think the prong was wet, I saw a flash and now the outlet is dead. Circuit breaker didn't move. Could we have a fire in the wall?

You might want to check for a tripped GFI.
Most out door outlets are protected but a ground fault circuit interrupter--(GFI)

Look at the outlet--see if it has a push button to reset it--
If not--check the breaker box for a breaker with a reset button and the usual switch.

If not---look around the house for a gfci outlet that is tripped.

Most likely a tripped GFCI somewhere as was mentioned. You owe your guardian angel one "attaboy"

I am sure you would know that by now.
