Hi, no matter what I set our thermostat to our hvac will only put our heat. Even when I set to cool it puts out heat. AC won’t turn on... its 83 degrees in the house. Any ideas?

Is the heat running or is the air conditioner just not coming on?

Post the brand name and model # of your indoor unit.

Is it a heat pump?

If it is a electric furnace or air handler you may have a stuck heat sequencer which turns on the elec elements stuck on.

Sounds like you have a electrical problem.
