Hi,
I've been trying to find a YouTube video or something to walk me through my issue, but nothing seems related.
I have a faucet with a hot knob and a cold knob. Twisting the hot water works fine, but nothing happens when I twist the cold water. Can someone point me in the direction I need to go for this?

Thank you.

Did you just change to new taps? Or did this just start happening to your old ones? Can you post a picture of the taps that are causing problems? Many plumbers here can give.you answers by knowing what brand they're working on.

It could be a valve, the plumbing, or the faucet, so the first thing is try and isolate the problem. First off, do you have cold water at the tub and in the kitchen? If so, do you have a valve that might be closed, either in the vicinity of where the water enters the house or in the line to the bathroom? Under the sink, there should be a shutoff valve where the water comes in and a line going up to the faucet. Is that valve open? Assuming it is open, I would put a pan under it, close it, and carefully loosen the nut on the side going to the faucet, then open it and see if water comes out. If you have water flow through that valve the problem is in the faucet. If not, it's in the plumbing. Do you have copper or steel pipes, and if steel, is it galvanized. Galvanized pipe is notorious for building up in the inside, effectively blocking flow, and, in my experience, it usually hits the hot side first, but that's not written on any tablets so can be anyone's guess.
