One Circuit, Multiple Lights, Switches, and one Recp.

Hello All,

I have a situation that I need a little help with. I'm finishing my basement and I have ran into a jam running my electric

I need to run multiple lights, multiple switches, and I have one recp. that controls my pump.

I have lighting down in the basement now but it all runs off 2 switches that are in 3 way. My power is coming from the box to the closest light fixture and then running to the next box where the 3 way is connected.

I would like to keep the 3 way in for the top and bottom of the stairs and I always need to have power going to my sump.

I do not know if this is even possible on one circuit.

I'm going to include a diagram so you have a better understanding.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Not possible in Canada. You can only have 12 outlets on the circuit. I count 15.
And outlets should be on a different circuit.
Thanks Joed. I'm in the States.

I might be breaking it up then, but I'll wait for someone in the States to reply.
Ok. I will eliminate the outlet on the lights.
There is no rule against having receptacles and lights on the same circuit. However I think a sump pump is a special case and needs a dedicated circuit.
Why not leave the existing wiring intact but run two or three new circuits from the panel for the new receptacles and lights? Also another circuit for the sump pump.

That would be nice, but unfortunately I’m running out of room in my panel. I’m already running tandem for my receptacles in the basement. I think I have one slot left in my box. My plan was to use some of the existing wire that is down their now.

Thanks for the reply.
