Old vinyl may contain asbestos, had it tested yet?
Might want to try a heat gun and a putty knife.
Why are you removing it?
What type flooring are you going to be putting down?

you can also use a hair dryer on high in place of the heat gun, it melts the glue and lets you pry it up easier. Thankfully i didnt have this issue, mine was thirty years old and came up with a bare hand. Good luck!

The adhesive may contain a lot more asbestos than the tile. Have you had it tested?

Well....yea! You want it to come up by standing? You gotta get down and work!

Be careful not to grind or sand anything. Make no dust, keep it damp.

Tell us more concerning the adhesive, the substrate and your floor covering plans.
