We have a 65 YO house that has a few long cracks in the ceiling that span across the whole ceiling. What is the best way to repair this? I have read of some special joint compound that is flexible?

If the house is no longer going to shift and that you have the foundation problems if any corrected, Hot Mud and Mesh tape is how it needs to be fixed.
