I recently had to have a collapsed drain line dug out of my basement and in the process of getting to it they had to go through my vinyl tile floor. Where they dug, both the top layer and the old tile underneath are ripped out.
I have a box of replacement tile squares and I am comfortable I can patch them in. However, my concern is that the "old" floor under it was torn out in these spots too. Now, in order to get the top layer of tile level I am goin tohave to either rip out the entire floor (both layers) or find a way to level-in where the old flooring is on the concrete so I can put the vinyl squares in on top of it.
Does anyone have suggestions? Is there anything I can buy to self-level/fill this layer? Thanks for your help in advance!
