We recently ripped up our old carpet, removed the carpet glue underneath it, removed the tiles underneath that, and then the black mastic below that to reveal the original concrete floor in an old building we recently purchased. It's in overall nice shape outside of some holes to fill and has a red epoxy coating on it - however it is almost 70 years old. We want to keep the look of the floor with all it's character, but right now it's extremely dull and a floor buffing machine really didn't bring out any shine on it's own. However cars will be on it so we need to make sure it holds up well to oil and possibly other chemicals and also tires. Would a concrete wax help bring back the shine? Any ideas?
