thinking about using an oiled wood engineered wide plank hardwood floor in a house near the ocean but concerned about the maitenence involved (oiling it several times a year) and how it will hold up to stains, wear and tear, etc. Anyone have an opinion or experienece with this type of flooring?

I have never used oil on floors. Just some of the furniture I build. Here is a site I found that might help.
