I have a 3 zone house, new-ish furnace with an inspection done a month ago. No issues.

Today, our basement zone isn't kicking in, and I'm not sure if the thermostat is simply broken and not calling for heat, or something else is not working.

The basement zone is one big rectangular loop. The water pipe at the start of the zone is hot, but gets progressively cooler as it continues down the line. Our entertainment room, which is the last room on the run, has hot water radiation pipes that are cold to the touch.

Any ideas on things I could troubleshoot?

Ayuh,.... Are the 3 zones fed by pumps or zone valves, 'n a common pump,..??

That zone, either the valve ain't openin', or the pump ain't pumpin',....

Do ya have a Multimeter to diagnose the issue with,..??

It appears the boiler is hot, 'n pressurized, but the water ain't gettin' to that zone,.....

How 'bout a picture of the near boiler plumbin', 'n any zone valves/ zone pumps,..??

Jumper the wires at the thermostat. If zone valve works, its most likely the thermostat.

If it doesn't open, could be zone valve or wires.

Either remove them from the thermostat and wire nut them together. Or use alligator jumpers clips.

If the thermostat opens the value, what activates the furnace to open and pump water?

Because i can manually open the value and the pipe gets hot, but the pump doesn't activate and start pushing water.

Usually an end switch in the zone valve. But your system may have the basement set up as a slave zone, and requires another zone to also be calling.
