lately my AC occasionally has poor airflow.

There is air coming from the vents but not the usual, leading to AC running for long times since not enough cool air coming.

Everting is running and in order afik, just not blowing so much.

Next day the problem is gone and back to normal.

I have 5 T outside and 60,000 BTU heat exchanger, single speed heat exchanger fan. No zones.

I have no idea what would make it not blow at normal.

Normally I would hear the air whooshing sound, but it is almost silent when not blowing at normal.

Is your thermostat on some crazy setback schedule where it's set too cold for a while which causes the coil to freeze up, and then it switches to a warmer temperature which allows it to thaw out and work normally for a while?

I don't know if this is it or not, but most A/C systems shouldn't be set any lower than about 70°-72°F.

I guess your HVAC tech did not have very good communication skills so he could not explain what happens with low charge.
