New guy here. My wife and I are in the process of buying our first house together, we close in a couple of weeks. We have been renting for the past 8 years, it will be nice to get into our own place!

I am a somewhat experienced DIY'er. I have done a few projects in previous houses, bathroom remodel, decks, a barn, fencing, laid a bunch of granite floor tile and the usual basic homeowner stuff.

Now I am fixing to get in over my head with a garage and 2x bedroom addition on the new place :surprise:

I look forward to hanging out here!

No kidding there. My wife has ideas to keep me busy for at least a few decades. :biggrin2: I am looking forward to it though, I have not owned a home in about ten years. This is going to be a major reset in my priorities.
