I apologize if this is in the wrong section.

Hey guys, I'm a pretty fresh homeowner tackling my second project in this house. I'm looking for a little advice on how to repair this woodrot on my exterior door. I've attached some pics, any suggestions on what I should do? Epoxy, bondo, replace ? I've dug out some of the rotten stuff to see what was really going on , could probably remove a bit more.

Your main issue you going to be dealing with forever is the deck was build to high and to close to the house.
It was suppost to be 6" below the door opening.
Noticed any rotting siding of drywall damage yet?
Remove the trim and install all vinyl.
The one around the door is called brick moulding. I drive the nails in with a small nail set then pry it off, pull the nails and replace with new trim.
The one between the doors is called mullion strip.

Any patching will be a total waste of time.

As oe mentioned---replace the brick mold with PVC --

The Mull is fairly advanced wood working----that is structural---the door is often hinged to that mull----you will need to disassemble the door and replace the rotted portion in such a way that the repair is as strong as new---

What tools or skills do you have?
