[SPS-1]

Replacing a P trap. Bought a new assembly. Looks like photo below.

At first, I thought I was missing a gasket, but looking at how the mating tapers matched up, concluded they were intended to connect without a ferrule. Now I am second guessing myself.

No gasket ?

There is no gasket, the fastener (which isn't shown on the drawing) will keep it tight.
