First time poster- Go figure right?
So I recently purchased my first home that was built in 1963. I removed the toilet and wa-la, no flange to be found. After disconnecting the toilet from the supply line I literally barely rocked it and the bolts just snapped and it came loose. There was just wax from what I could tell. I don't know how it wasn't gushing water...
So, based upon the pictures, what type of flange should I purchase. I tried placing a 4X3 flange from the hardware store in it but it seemed to stick out too far. Am I supposed to place cement between the flange and the hole to make it snug/watertight?
Any advice is appreciated.
